Instructional Designer

Jonathan De La Cruz is an Instructional Designer and Learning Experience Advisor who specializes in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and adult learning theory. He currently serves as an Instructional Designer for a supply chain company and works with Fuel the Future Platforms, an innovative EdTech software company. At Fuel the Future Platforms, he collaborates on the development of AI-assisted Learning Management Systems (LMS) and curriculum design to streamline onboarding for educational and workforce partners.

Jonathan’s background is rooted in both high-level music performance and academic instruction. He previously served as a Faculty Lecturer of Music at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where he taught the History of Jazz and Music Appreciation. His academic journey also includes graduating from Indiana University (IU), where he earned his Master of Music in Jazz Studies and founded Mariachi Perla del Medio Oeste through the Latin American Music Center. Shortly after, he moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he spent time working for the Dallas Symphony Education Center as well as school districts throughout the region. It was Jonathan's inherent love for creating, teaching, and design that eventually led him to discover the field of Instructional Design

Jonathan is currently working toward a Master of Science in Learning Technologies with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence in Education and Learning Analytics from the University of North Texas. He is a bilingual professional, fluent in English and Spanish, and is dedicated to creating culturally inclusive and technologically advanced learning environments.
