Dr. Karina Quilantan-Garza, also known as Dr. Q, is a state and nationally recognized school library educator based in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. A passionate advocate for library media, instructional technology, and student learning, she is dedicated to expanding the impact of school library programs beyond the classroom as an Assistant Professor at Sam Houston State University.
In addition to her work in librarianship and higher education, Dr. Q. is a strong advocate for student creativity and leadership. Her teaching and research emphasize the importance of bridging theory to practice, empowering students to innovate, collaborate, and lead with confidence.
