Märt is a trailblazer in the field of education technology, with a career that spans 15 years and covers the development and design of a wide range of educational and gaming software. Having worked in Vancouver, Lviv, and Berlin, he has gained a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of immersive technologies such as AR and VR. This expertise has driven him to found Futuclass, an innovative company focused on delivering curriculum-aligned natural science lessons to secondary school students through purpose-designed digital environments in Virtual Reality.
Futuclass has received high praise from students and educators alike, and is now being used in around 10% of Estonian schools. With distribution deals in the US and UK in the works, and a home-user version of the study modules coming soon, Märt’s vision of using immsersive technology to transform education is becoming a reality.
In recognition of his contributions to the field of education, Märt was awarded the title "Friend of Education 2022" at the Teacher’s Gala, Estonia’s most prestigious event for education professionals. He is dedicated to modernizing the education system both in Estonia and worldwide, and his focus has recently shifted fully to Futuclass, as he sees the enormous potential for the platform to bring about positive change in the world of education. With a new daughter in his life, Märt has come to understand the true value of focusing on what truly matters, and his passion for using technology to help people learn is more intense than ever.
