Ashley Markham is a principal of a Jr/Sr high school in Michigan where she serves her students and staff
with a different approach to leadership than most school administrators. She prides herself on uplifting
and supporting teachers so they can best support their students. Her teaching career started in 2006
where she spent 15 years teaching special education in multiple grade levels. In 2011 Ashley graduated
with her Education Specialist degree from the University of Michigan. She strives to set herself apart
because she knows how important it is to have quality leadership that genuinely cares about their
teaching staff. Most recently, Ashley started sharing her passion for educational leadership through
TikTok, @Nacho.Average.Principal. She gives teachers and administrators sound advice regarding
education, funny laughs about the struggles of being an educator, and helpful tips to get you through
